That’s why marketing tools like SEO, social media, and email marketing came into existence.
But even with raw, organic traffic, sometimes you think it’s not sufficient enough for your business.
It’s slow, time-consuming, and takes a lot of effort to pull off.
In this article, we’re going to be covering about paid traffic for your website and how it really works.
I’m also going to warn you with the dangers of other paid traffic services that are plain scams.
Plus, I’ll share some guidelines on when to buy visitors for best results.
How Buying Traffic Works In a Nutshell
Paid traffic refers to any type of traffic that has been acquired for a certain amount of money through various mediums.
Different platforms and services on the Web offer targeted traffic to your website and they can be overwhelming to learn one-by-one.

3. Sponsored Content – is done by going to places such as Taboola or Outbrain to advertise your best blog posts. In exchange, your content will be shown in high-traffic sites where readers could potentially click and head over to your website.
4. Cost Per Mile (CPM) Advertising – cost per mile is the price you pay per 1,000 impressions of your ads showing in a website. BuySellAds is one place that offers CPM advertising for your blog.
5. Solo Ads – is a paid traffic source wherein you rent other people’s email lists by buying an agreed number of clicks (say 100 clicks for $35). Your goal is to build a list by sending the traffic to an email opt-in page, after which you can mail them offers in the back-end.
Traffic Scams are Everywhere!
The paid traffic sources I mentioned just now are legitimate places and techniques that offer realistic results.
However at times, you will come across websites that sell you on the fantasy of “easy” and “instant” traffic for your website.
Scammers pop up from different places, promising you several thousand visitors to your website, which they claim are “targeted and relevant”.
If you’re too careless and not good at detecting scams, you’re in great danger.
The most obvious type offer traffic generation tools. The creators claim that they can generate targeted traffic to your website by using a software program that automatically does the work for you.
Just set it up and you’ll start making revenue in no time.
They would sell you on the idea of generating leads with less effort and the fact that it costs a lot to do PPC or Facebook ads.
If some crook is trying to take advantage of your greed and laziness, please resist the feeling and avoid them.
Another type of evil scheme are Fiverr gigs. In fact, there’s a full page of gigs offering 10,000+ traffic for just $5!
I wish I could buy them for my website.
But if it were that easy, then everybody would do it.
Bottomline: stay away from them completely, since the traffic they’re sending might NOT be real human traffic (more like bots).
When Is the Right Time to Buy Traffic?
So you’re running a blog.
And maybe, you’re already experiencing trickles of traffic (like 100 a month, I suppose).
But something’s telling you from within to go ahead and try buying visitors to further amplify your growth.
But when is it really the right time to pull the trigger?
1. Potential Return on Investment is Huge
The best reason why you want more people in your site is to sell them some offers.
If you have a $5 product, then your ad budget should be around $1.
Spend more for leads and it might not be worth it for your business.
Or if you simply run a blog, your conversion goal might be to generate email leads, which is an awesome tactic to create customers.
The point is, don’t buy traffic until you understand the math of recouping your investment back.
Whether you sell affiliate products or products you own, it’s important to know the facts so that you’re on the safe side of things.
2. You Know a Lot about Your Customers
It’s a bad mindset to think of your traffic only as a metric.
Your website stats reflect the behavior of real people navigating and browsing through your content.

At first, it’s really all about experimenting.
Depending on your niche, certain methods work more effectively than others.
My recommendation is to read dozens of case studies on the method you prefer to use.
