Name: Life Leadership
Founders: Orrin Woodward, Chris Brady, and more
Price: $99 One-Time for Starter Kit + Monthly Subscriptions
Verdict: Might Work, But Chances Are Slim
What is Life Leadership All About?
Life Leadership began in 2011 and was initially founded by seven founders.
They are: Orrin Woodward, Chris Brady, Claude Hamilton, George Guzzardo, Bill Lewis, Dan Hawkins, and Tim Marks.
Orrin and Chris, from what I’ve learned, are the main men operating the business.
Orrin boasts plenty of accomplishments in his career such as being a New York Times bestselling author, a Guinness World Record holder, a part of the top 50 Leadership and management experts, and more.
Chris Brady, on the other hand, is listed among Richtopia’s Top 200 Most Influential Authors In The World, The Best 25 Management and Leadership Blogs, Inc. Magazine’s Top 50 Leadership and Management Experts, and more.
So all in all, it would seem like Life Leadership is in good hands under the guidance of these founders, right?
Well, it’s too early to say.
To understand why I’m skeptical, I suggest you keep reading this post.
In a nutshell, Life Leadership offers valuable information on financial, professional, and personal development.
Furthermore, it provides an all-in-one functional app which allows you to receive cash backs, earn virtual rewards, get coupons, save money, and consume digital training all in one place.
And of course, let’s not forget the attached business opportunity that allows you to set up multiple income sources right off the bat.
What Does Life Leadership Have In Store?
The company has evolved since 2011, thanks to the power of technology.
So to explain Life Leadership in more detail, I’m going to focus on its main app.
After all, it’s impossible not to come across the tool if you’re going to be a member of this company.
And according to the website, Life Leadership (and its app) provides 8 key benefits:
1. Cash Back –you can get a fraction of your expenses back from the stores and brands you’ve come to love.
2. Virtual Rewards –Life has a virtual currency called dibs, which you can redeem for additional merchant purchases and exclusive trips.
3. Coupons –you’ll also be able to use coupons in order to get good discounts from your favorite merchants.
4. Groupon –you can use Groupon inside the Life App so you can save more money without leaving the app.
5. Security –the Life app claims to be more secure when it comes to payment processing than just using a debit or credit card.
6. Compensation –if you connect others to the mobile app, you can earn income for doing so (more on this later).
7. Financial Literacy –the app will provide you with premium services and tools to help you get out of debt and thrive financially.
8. Leadership –the app also includes the Total Personal Development program so you can begin your leadership journey inside Life Leadership.
Bottomline, there’s plenty of stuff you can do with the app alone.
So if you have time, you might wanna’ check it out yourself. It’s free to create an account.
How Does One Make An Income With Life Leadership?
I’m guessing this is what you’re here for.
You wanna’ find out how the money-making process works inside Life Leadership.
In which case, let me guide you through.
You see, Life Leadership is a direct sales company operating on a multi-level marketing model (or MLM).
And with MLMs, your income will come from multiple sources, which is why so many people are attracted to this particular scheme.
It gets more exciting with Life Leadership since they provide 16 and 1/2 ways to make money!
At its core though, you’re going to be selling informational and educational products in three primary categories:
- Personal Development
- Professional Development
- Financial Development
And to get started with this business, you must enroll as a Member of Life Leadership.
Not to confuse with becoming a Customer, who does nothing but purchase products and join subscriptions, you must tell your sponsor that you’re participating as a Member coz’ you wanna’ earn income.
Life Leadership’s Compensation Plan: A Quick Overview
Speaking of earning income, allow me to quickly tackle the compensation plan.
But if you wish to do extensive reading, the company has provided a compensation plan PDF which you can read when you have the time.
Moving on, I said a while ago that Life Leadership has sixteen and a half ways to make money.
Here’s the full list:
- Retail Sales Commission (#1)
- The “3 For FREE” Customer Referral Programs (#1/2)
- Customer Pool Bonus (#2)
- Cumulative Customer Bonus (#3)
- Bonus Chart Commissions (#4, #5, #6)
- Product Scholarship Program (#7)
- Scholarship Development Bonus (#8)
- Fun In The Sun Cruise (#9)
- Balanced Business Bonus (#10)
- Annual Cash Awards (#11)
- Leader Bonus (#12)
- Depth Bonuses (#13, #14, #15, #16)
Now I won’t take the time to explain them one by one.
But the way I see it, there’s heavy emphasis on ‘building and leading sales teams’ because it’s how you’re going to climb the ranks of Life Leadership and make a huge fortune.
Here’s the full list of the ranks:
- Student 150
- Student 300
- Student 600
- Student 1,000
- Student 1,500
- Student 2,500
- Student 4,000
- Student 6,000
- Student 8,000
- Senior Coordinator
- Senior Advisor
- Life Coach+
Now, don’t drool over these glorious ranks.
Because the first skill you’ll develop, if you’re starting from the bottom (as a Student), is the ability to ‘merchandise the company’s products’ and generate 15% commissions for every sale.
Which is very similar to what I’m doing right now (called affiliate marketing).
The idea behind the entire biz opp is once you master the basic skill of selling products and services, you’re supposed to pass it on to someone else by training them under your guidance and forming a team.
You’ll hone your downlines to the extent that they’ll be able to lead their own team as well.
And if you do it correctly, you’ll be extremely rewarded in the process.
Great, So How Much Does It Cost to Join?
Again, what you’re shooting for inside Life Leadership is to become a Member, not a Customer.
Coz’ the moment you step inside, you’ll be placed in the company’s compensation structure.
All you have to do is pay a one-time fee of $99 and you’re ready for business.
It’s not like other MLMs out there which require you to have a minimum monthly purchase or an autoship setup.
However, if you wish to consume Life’s signature information products, then prepare to shell out more cash for the financial, professional, and personal development trainings.
Most of the leadership products and programs involve subscription-based costs, such as the Financial Fitness products which range around $11-$22 per month.
You also get to subscribe to professional development tools for $65 per 6 months that includes a book and gives 4 audios each month.
For personal development, the price tags usually play around $11 to $82.50 per month, which cover topics like personal growth, principles of success, freedom, and spiritual growth.
Also, there are one-time costs you can avail such as the financial master class which charge around $109 to $247 for premium content on personal finance.
Pretty expensive stuff, don’t you think?
Turns out, the size of your bill will depend on how much money you’re willing to give out and whether you need the training programs at all.
If I may be honest though, you’d be better off watching YouTube videos and subscribing to self-help gurus to get free content rather than avail these paid products.
There’s not much difference between the free stuff and the premium ones. Trust me!
Verdict: Is It Feasible to Start a Business With Life Leadership?
Your goal is to make money with Life Leadership, right?
If so, the important question would be: “Is it worth the commitment?”
“Will it be feasible to run your very own business inside Life Leadership?”
If you ask me, I think it can work.
But unfortunately, the odds are stacked against your favor.
To understand why, I suggest you take a look at these indicators:
I. Majority of Members Make Little to No Money
If you read the compensation plan PDF until the end, you’ll stumble on the company’s Income Disclosure statement.
I’ve taken the time to take a screenshot on the part that’s important to emphasize (as you can see above).
Also, I enclosed in a red box the important numbers you wanna’ understand.
Members who are still in the Student ranks (from 0 to 8,000) average from zero dollars up to around 24 bucks in gross monthly income.
Which is very bad news if you’re participating in the biz opportunity.
Furthermore, I ran the math in my calculator to find out the total percentage of people still in the Student ranks.
And here’s the answer: 99.478%
In short, the majority of members in Life Leadership struggle to make any money and never make their investment back.
Meanwhile, the remaining 0.522% of the population are feasting on most of the wealth.
Pretty unfair, right?
Well for me, I’m not surprised to see this inequality in effect.
Wherever I go (even in the biz program I’m enrolled), at least 90 percent of members fail to see success. And it’s an inevitable fact.
It’s just that with MLMs, the numbers are heavily skewed in favor of the top guns since the compensation structure is designed to spoil them.
II. The Founder Had A Shady Past With An MLM Company
It’s nice to learn that the company you’re interested in has a clean track record.
Unfortunately, Life Leadership isn’t one of them.
You see, I’m particularly interested at the history of Orrin Woodward and his previous involvement with another MLM, Amway.
He joined the company back in 1993 and worked his way to the top.
Then during the time when Amway became Quixtar in the USA (1999), Orrin led a group of representatives called TEAM until 2007.
Because in 2007, Orrin was terminated from Amway/Quixtar for his bad business practices. He retaliated by suing Amway and calling it a pyramid scheme.
Delving deeper, I found out that the real reason for Orrin’s termination is because he was deceiving new biz opp seekers by not telling upfront that they’re joining Quixtar.
He kept violating the company’s policies, tainting its reputation, and was unwilling to comply with their resolution. He even handed a trash-talking lawsuit upon his exit from the company.
Simply put, Orrin was a bad boy!
Or at the very least, it’s safe to say that he’s not as legit as we originally thought.
III. You’ll Be Facing Tough Competition
You’re not alone in business.
In fact, you’ll be involved in niches that are incredibly tough to penetrate, which include the self-help and business niches.
And usually with highly competitive niches, the way to succeed is to do a better job than everybody else.
Something which won’t happen soon if you’re a newbie!
Not only that, you’re in direct competition with fellow Life Leadership members, including the big guys resting at the top.
You’re selling the same merchandise, you’re recruiting the same membership, and worst of all, you’re inviting more competition that will further take away your share.
Now tell me, can you build a successful business in this environment?
On a positive note, Life Leadership is transparent with its flaws because it showed its Income Disclosure statement. Other companies hide this important information from us.
Also, you’re free to decide how much you wanna’ spend for their information products. You don’t need to maintain a minimum to stay as a member. Just the $99 fee will suffice.
And even if you spend extra, you won’t feel ripped off because you’re getting valuable content from the company.
In the business side of things, however, it’s best to look for something else to make a good income from.
Something that’s simpler to understand and doesn’t take a lot of risk.
Wanna’ Know The Simplest Way to Make Money?
Sure, the idea of sixteen and a half income streams sounds exciting.
But seriously, how many do you really need in order to make a living?
If you’re like me, just one!
Coz’ if you learn how to set up just one stream of income, then you can repeat it over and over.
The only catch is it will be difficult the first time.
You’ll go through trial and error until you find something that actually works. Then you’ll be scaling from that point onwards.
If you don’t want to go through the grueling process of finding a proven system, how about trying mine for FREE?
It’s a simple 5-step process which enabled me to earn my first $1,000 using nothing but the Internet.
