Welcome to my Empower Network review, fellow friends and critics. I know you have nagging questions in your head regarding this scheme, and you need someone to answer them for you. Good news, I could be the one you’re looking for.
Empower Network or EN is a multi-level marketing scheme that has been around since 2011 and was cofounded by Dave Wood and Dave Sharpe. The company boasts its powerful blogging system (the Kalatu), along with its diverse empowerment programs (such as Inner Circle) which help people achieve success.
Unfortunately, this program is full of flaws and right now, I’m going to tell you to never join EN. In this post, I’ll explain the biggest reasons why I see it as a scam.
You will also discover my #1 recommendation to making money online, one that won’t trick you into joining in. In fact, this program will even take care of you in every step of the way until you reach success.
The Biggest Barrier to Entry: PRICE
I’ll tell you why you can’t penetrate the EN platform that easily. You need to have lots of cash to get started in this venture. To anyone who believes that “it takes money to make money”, this program is a great example of that model.
At first glance, EN might look enticing to join to because of the low $25 entry cost, but the real trouble comes after that. You’re going to be bombarded by huge upsells first around the hundreds, and then going up to thousands of dollars. If you want maximum success, you need an upfront budget of more than $5000!
The following items are the core products you’re going to receive when you enter the Empower Network community:
1. Kalatu Blogging System – a prebuilt blogging platform that’s tailored to the user’s needs and is capable of ranking high in Google search results ($25 per month)
2. E-Wallet – earning affiliate commissions is impossible if you don’t buy this tool, for this provides everything you need to promote EN ($19.95 per month)
3. Inner Circle – is a motivational tool that comes in the form of audios, which can help a lot especially during bad times ($100 per month)
4. Costa Rica Mastermind – intensive video series and learning materials recorded by successful online entrepreneurs while in Costa Rica ($500 one-time)
5. 15K Formula – is another set of videos which provides affiliate training on how to promote EN and make as much as $15,000 a month ($1000 one-time)
6. Master’s Course – the best way to accelerate and become successful in EN, which includes advanced training videos ($3500 one-time)
These six items are what you need to make the most out of this program. Take note that there are other supplements to your training that you can also purchase. And at the core of all these products is to achieve only one objective: to promote Empower Network, which leads me to the next issue.
EN is a Huge Pyramid Waiting to Crumble
Another problem with Empower Network is their training. Although the materials all look great and compelling to learn, you will only learn how to effectively promote EN and nothing else. It’s a concept known as pyramiding or pyramid scheme, and a lot of MLM’s practice this kind of business model.
Pyramid scams don’t have high-quality products that you can proudly promote as an affiliate. The only reason you want to buy them is for the opportunity to sell them. Empower Network pays 70% commissions for every sale of a product, but you have to buy the product in order to qualify for the commission.
If you bought the Inner Circle but didn’t purchase the Costa Rica program, then you won’t get the Costa Rica sales from your downlines, and hence a missed earning opportunity. That’s why some members strongly advise their recruits to “go all-in” in buying the entire $5000 package.
But here’s the problem. What if suddenly there are no more members left on the planet that you can recruit? Plus, haven’t you thought that you’re competing with 150,000+ members doing the same thing: bringing people to EN? Good luck with that.
Does The Program Pay Its Members?
Absolutely YES. The Empower Network program will definitely pay you and it’s possible to make your first dollar online through this scheme.
There’s a catch though. You have to work insanely hard and focus on recruiting people to the network or else, you won’t be able to recoup your investment. You have to become a “networking maniac” capable of befriending real people and selling the opportunity when the time is right.
The training will teach you to start with your friends, family members, and colleagues, so you’ve got to have a thick skin to face the rejections and harsh criticisms coming from them.
To reach more people, another viable option is through the Internet. There are more than 3 billion people on the planet whom you can slap your promotions to. The only problem: How many of them have $5,000 in their wallet that they’re willing to let go?
As time goes by, it’s only going to get harder to make money from the network and is not worth your time and money. If you can hustle to the top by surpassing multiple uplines, then it’s possible to succeed. Otherwise, forget it and find something legitimate to join into.
To understand the reality of how much you can earn, here’s the income disclosure page of Empower Network. It’s understandable that only 10% of the people will get past the $1000 monthly income. But why spend $5,000+ worth of products just to realize that?
That’s why my final verdict with Empower Network is:
Choose “Affiliate Marketing” over MLM
Look, I can go on to tell why MLM programs like EN will not work for you, but that would be a waste of time. I always stay on the ethical side of things because even if it yields smaller rewards, it’s the most stable way to make money online in the long term.
Empower Network members themselves will tell you that if you don’t go “All-In” with your investments and efforts, you won’t succeed. So if you’re going to expend energy anyway, why not focus on doing the right thing?
A nice business model that is guaranteed to work online is affiliate marketing, where you are the affiliate of a company you pick by signing up through their affiliate programs. It’s not multi-level because it’s a linear manner of doing business.
EN unfortunately is not an affiliate program just because you have an E-Wallet. An affiliate by definition is someone who promotes other companies’ products in exchange for a commission. MLM sites like Empower Network are not promoting a product at all. They are merely selling on the opportunity of a brilliant future.
Don’t get me wrong, I love financial freedom. I love to make more than enough money to really uplift my lifestyle. But to do that, I need my money-making machine to last for a very long time, at least 50 years or so.
Affiliate marketing is very strong right now and will continue to be in the future. Nearly every industry is tapping into affiliate marketers to promote their products and services and is willing to share profits with them.
Whether you are in the health, fitness, dating, business, finance, investing, food, travel, or technology industry, there are lots of products to promote and companies to join to.
